June 14, 2021 Monday morning
I have to update you whenever there is a moment. Last night was our last night in our sweet house in the trees on 5 acres. In some ways, it is hard, what a respite it has been, but The Lord knew that we needed to be out. He knew that I wouldn't be able to care for 5 acres and all the weeds! I am so blessed that He had that covered and in motion before Steve got sick. Wow, He is always holding us!
Alicia is caring for Steve today, I just love her spirit and caring of Steve and our family. What a blessing the ICU family is! Fun fact: Dr Lee and Dr Mendi have been working together in the ICU for YEARS! They are so different, and complimentary at the same time. They both have talked about how this ICU is a family and you can really feel it. There is a peace that abides there as they all work together. It is a blessing to see and to feel. Steve had another uneventful night, Praise God! He is still holding steady on his BP and is still totally off the meds to control it. His heart rate is still high and they are going to up the dose of the heart rate med a little to try to bring it down. I am going in today in a bit, please pray for a precious face time with his mom, sister and Aunt who are in St. Louis together. <3
It may seem ridiculously obvious that the word I keep hearing is MOVE! Yes, we are moving house, all the "needed" stuff to the Schnabels and all the peripheral stuff to storage. The move I am talking about though, is one where we are standing in faith, unmoved (by circumstances), and moving forward in faith and boldness. I keep singing "Move" by Toby Mac, here are a couple of lines:
I know your heart been broke again
I know your prayers ain't been answered yet
I know you're feeling like you got nothing left
Well, lift your head, it ain't over yet, ain't over yet so
Move, keep walkin' soldier keep movin' on
Move, keep walkin' until the mornin' comes
Move, keep walkin' soldier keep movin' on
And lift your head, it ain't over yet, ain't over yet
Hold on, hold on
Lord ain't finished yet
Hold on, hold on
He'll get you through this
Hold on, hold on
These are the promises
I never will forget (As in The Lord will never forget His promises)
In Joshua 1, The Lord tells Joshua many times, to be strong and courageous. He had to move forward, trusting every step to The Lord and not his eyes or understanding of his circumstances. In Exodus 14:15-16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. The Israelites could only see that they were cornered, immanent death by the hands of the Egyptians. God didn't show them ahead of time how they would be delivered, they had to MOVE forward in faith and then they were delivered. In Phillipians 3:13 It says: Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. He is saying that he has not attained Christian perfection(because that is impossible), but don't turn your gaze to the right or left(the worldly things) and press forward with your eyes steadfast on Him knowing that The Lord hears you, knows you, loves you, fights for you, heals you, answers you and so much more that the world can never fully offer you!
I am, with The Lord's help, and treasuring every prayer and blessing from all of you, in a place of peace. He is helping me to press on. With His help I can run the good race, fighting in prayer for my husband, choosing hope and healing in my heart for him, trusting in His word and promises, treasuring what He is doing in me, humbled at being able to see the works of His hand in many other lives. The testimonies I have heard over the last weeks, the testimony that is being built in Steve and I as well as Riley, Adam and Kaiti. What a humbling experience, my cup overflows. No one is perfect, not one excepting Jesus. We all fall and get scuffed up, but He picks us up and dusts us off and gets us back in the running, grabbing hold of the blessed life in Him. I am so thankful.
Continued prayers for my new son (I have a son!) and Riley, as Adam heals in body, mind and spirit. Thankful for your prayers for Steve's brain, heart and kidneys. You are a treasure to me. So thankful for a beautiful place to land for the next few months as we navigate the learning curve of running Steve's business and all the finances, and waiting for God's timing for Steve's comeback. ❤️ I kinda feel like the Psalm 23. 'The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.' I just cry over how we are held. Love you all!

- John SteckLord Jesus, I thank You for my victory. I take the offensive position in the spiritual battle by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in me. By the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ I uproot every incantation and spiritual roadblock that the enemy has set against Steve, Heather, his home, and his family. I pulverize every attack and I curse and destroy its evil root to never allow it to be used again. By the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ I rebuke and dismantle every plan that the enemy and his demons have against Steve. Let them be destroyed. I hinder and frustrate every assignment of the enemy and his demons and whatever methods they are trying to use against God’s children. I burn them all down with the all-consuming fire of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, I send the fire of the Holy Spirit upon every spirit of infirmity that is attacking Steve. By the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ I bind up and expel all the spirits and principalities of resistance, hindrance, revenge, retaliation, and retribution that are trying to come against Steve. I purposefully cast them out of God’s kingdom entirely into the void far away from God’s children to never return. I loose over Steve in the mighty name of Jesus Christ freedom, liberation, peace, joy, hope, gladness, love, healing, wholeness, mercy, grace, blessings, favor, and complete restoration of all that the locusts of the enemy have eaten and destroyed with nothing missing, and nothing broken. I loose breakthrough and Your grace into every area of Steve’s life. May a double portion of God’s blessing be upon Steve, Heather, his home, his family, and his family’s ministry in Jesus’ name, all for the greater glory of God. Father, I thank You for Your fresh anointing today to help to keep us all lockstep with Your will. We give You all the honor, praise and worship, in the unmatchable name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.6/15/21
