 Today, Steve's brother Brian was able to visit with him and cousins and friends were called to talk to Steve. He had is eyes opened, and, moving his head with all the familiar voices. He had a really good neurological day today, so that was a huge praise! Early this morning, he was unable to keep his blood pressure up so they had to bump up the bp meds and did not do dialysis. He also had a temperature and he is fighting an infection, so they changed the antibiotics again. This is concerning and a prayer point for today. My angel in the ICU Jenise was able to allow me in for 10 minutes, so Brian stepped out and I got in, this is The Lord's favor over us as the rules are very clear about one visitor per day. 

  By the time I was in, they were able to back off of the BP meds a little and he was still maintaining and his temp had decreased. Praise God. I Prayed over him and he was pretty worn out by all the excitement of the day, so he didn't react much until right before I left. Also had a report from our Angel therapist that she had movement with annoying stimuli in his left arm and right fingers yesterday! So many praises and so many prayers!

  Adam was transferred to NRH in DC for rehab today, but the unbelievable news is that they were actually considering sending him home for outpatient rehab!!!  Continuing to pray for full restoration in his brain, pelvis fracture, wrist fractures and right leg usage!

With all the ups and downs of this journey, when hard news hits it is so easy to be sucked in and tossed about by the waves. Today, after talking to Dr Lee (I was in the car which is my prayer closet), I talked to God again about all my fears and I asked for His peace in the storm. 

Psalm 27:11, 13-14

11Teach me Your way, O Lord,

And lead me on a level path

Because of my enemies [who lie in wait]. (my enemy is everything against Steve)

13 I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord

In the land of the living.

14Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;

Be strong and let your heart take courage;

Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.

 

 Yes, I am praying for miracles, and Steve's full restoration, but, what these verses mean to me, are about focusing on Jesus when things are hard. I remember all the difficult times I have been through, recounting how He held me and saw me through, and, seeking Him for my every provision, especially peace and the knowing that He has me and won't let me go. 

 

  Love you all and am so blessed and humbled by all of your prayers, thoughts and so many ways you bless our family.
