June 8, 2021 Tuesday eve
Sorry for the delay in posting, there has been no internet at home and Verizon not cooperating much either in our respite in the trees. I am currently in the Walmart parking lot soaking up the abundant cell service and typing on my phone, please excuse grammar and typos!
I talked to Dr Lee, she and Alicia, his nurse were happy with how Steve was doing today and they were very watchful through the dialysis process. They did give him some BP help, but he remained pretty steady. I haven't gotten the final fluid count yet but they were hoping to get 2-3 liters off today.
He was more wakeful today and responded somewhat to his mom and I, but got a rather good response when I played White Sox video clips.🤷♀️ His eyes were wide open and I held the screen close enough for him to see and hear parts of yesterday's game. Yep, Steve is definitely still with us! My baseball loving guy needs his Sox fix, especially since they are doing so well!
I was so very blessed by just talking to Dr Lee, she really pours herself into each patient and we are so very well taken care of. Nurse Alicia is amazing and she along with the dialysis tech were all in the room praying over Steve, singing worship songs and chatting about Christian concerts, so blessed!!! Steve loves listening to worship, it is his peaceful place. They turn on and off the music so he can hear it, but also quiet to give his brain healing time too. So much love! Love you all! Tomorrow is another crazy day and it may be that way till after next Wednesday's move. I'll update when I can!
