Journal Entry by Heather Ruments — June 21, 2021
We are so thankful and blessed by all the prayer and support through this journey. Steve lost the fight against Covid, but gained eternal healing and freedom with Jesus. He was surrounded with hugs and love by Kaiti, Riley, Adam and I. I will miss my best friend, my love, the most awesome dad to our beautiful daughters, and great friend to so many. I love you my honey bunny and I am so thankful for our eternal hope and for our comforter and provider of all our needs.

- Kris RomerLamentations 3-22-25 ~ The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. Dear Heather, we are covering you, Kaiti, Riley, Adam, Barbara, Brian and Laura in prayer as you continue to cling to Jesus minute by minute and day by day. Praying that you will continue to feel the Holy Spirit's presence with you always. Your posts have ministered to all of us daily and you've taught us what it means to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. This is not how we thought Steve's journey would end but we trust in our mighty God and we know that his will and his ways are always perfect. We are grieving with you in your loss, but rejoicing with you that Steve is completely HEALED and having joyful celebrations in Heaven with Deb and Andy! Praise the Lord that you will see him again! - Spencer ClaytonFrom Suzi Covington It is with a grieved heart that I am writing this, as I was not aware of Steve's fight with COVID until today. My heart is broken for you and your sweet girls Kait & Riley. Steve's bright and tender heart left an imprint on all that he came in contact with. He exuded LOVE, LAUGHTER, and FAITHFULNESS and served as a righteous and obedient example for all courageous men in Christ to follow. He will most assuredly be missed, but welcomed with open arms by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He now gets to gaze into the eyes of his Beloved Messiah, whom will no doubt whisper to Steve the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Welcome home." I love you Heather... and the girls too. Praying for your hearts today and always.6/22/21
