Hey everyone! Crazy busy blessed day today! Did some normal things and felt normal! I got to the hospital at 3, Dr Mendi said btw 3 and 5. Then needed to do Steve work for a bit and I just want to shout out to Andre for helping me yesterday and Laurie at Ivision for walking me through today. They are all such a blessing to us as they are so patient with me while I learn mobile marketing.
I finally got in and there were multiple emergencies at once in the ICU. There were three if us in the waiting room with no information so we chatted and prayed for each other's loved ones. The esther story popped in my mind and I know God's timing is perfect and beautiful. Praise God it was not our loved ones, but spent time praying for the other patients and caregivers.
My new friend Judy Eaddy gave me permission to add her and her husband here for prayer. Her husband Raymond was prepping for airlift to Fairfax hospital. They allowed her to see him for a moment. I was able to grab her on her way out and we prayed together and comforted each other. The Lord is amazing. We come to him so shaken, fearful, scared, not knowing what to do next. Then He blesses us, sometimes by His word, a song, or sometimes with another person. We share hearts, and love. We leave each other stronger and more peaceful. What a great God we have to time things so perfectly.
Then after almost 2 hours, everything back to a normal level. Dr Mendi and Ashley came out, so apologetic for the wait. Steve did awesome getting his port in, they will start tomorrow morning. He said it wasn't an emergency and he wanted the regular dialysis team on it, not an emergency team. He is so comforting. I then asked if I could bless them and Dr Mendi showed me his super cool cross! 🙌 It was so good to sit down, take a breath and talk. I just can't get over how blessed we are with Steve's care! After praying, Ashley asked if she could sneak me in after hours to see Steve!!!
He was totally out because he has just had the port put in. But they allowed me to open the door a bit and pray over him. 💗💗💗
I won't be calling back tonight, I'll likely get an overnight update tomorrow morning. I thank you so much for your Steve prayers and for our family and especially for prayers for those whom we don't know. Love to you all!
