May 26, 2021 Wednesday 10am
Good morning! So blessed that God's mercies are new every morning and His word is higher, better, stronger than anything of this earth. Our Steve is holding steady, I'm sure that there is so much going on in the unseen and I am thankful there is the word that tells me so. We cling to that hope that the good work he began in Steve as well as the rest of us will be brought to completion. They have him scheduled for another dialysis today, already he looks so much better and less puffy. The Trach is tentatively scheduled for Friday. All in God's hands!
Adam was successfully extubated, moved OUT of the ICU and had his MRI! The MRI came back with a Herniated disc. Still no movement in the right leg, so neurosurgery is coming in later today. Riley is there with him from 8-8pm, he saw her come in, smiled and fell into peaceful sleep. When he woke, he was clear headed, answered every question and did awesome!
THEN, the God wink! Phillip, the day nurse, called and put me on speaker to talk to Steve. We were able to talk to him and I played several voicemails and read him texts. Phillip was done and ready to go to the next room, but I asked him for a minute to pray over Steve. The Lord led me in prayer over Steve and over Phillip specifically as well as the staff. Phillip was so thankful for the encouragement and I asked him if the praise music was playing for Steve, and it was. I told him that Steve loves music, especially praise, but all music and his guitars are on our walls. He said that he has been playing guitar in his Praise Band for 7 years!!!! He said he was picking music just for Steve and will be praying for Steve and our family. <3 What a blessing and God wink! My sweet friend Deb will be with Steve today also doing therapy with him. I am so thankful for the ministering hands of precious brothers and sisters in Christ. He meets our every need in the storm. So thankful that He speaks to us in so many ways and through sweet placements of His earthly angels, and speaking to my heart in ways only He could know.
