Good morning,
Crazy day here with angels helping me pack the house. Got to "sit" in on speech therapy with Steve. He was pretty out of it, not as responsive as yesterday, but it was also later. I talked to the nurse this morning and she said that he goes through cycles of responsiveness, sometimes he is responding to voice, and sensory, and sometimes he is taking a nap. BUT, there are more and more cycles! Praise God! The Nephrologist was on the fence yesterday with dialysis today, so we will find out later.
Last night, I was struggling with the not so much response, feeling down, even though in my head I know that there are ups and downs. When I went to bed I just started really digging in and crying out for my husband (I do all the time, but I was mad at all the circumstances). I finally fell asleep feeling peace and an hour later Riley called to tell me that Adam, her fiancee was in a motorcycle accident and was being taken to Baltimore Shock Trauma. She was picked up by the wife of his buddy who was with him and they went to Baltimore where they wouldn't allow anyone in. They were forced to sedate and intubate because he is fiesty and wouldn't be still for the CT of his head, his helmet had cracked in half. He has a few spots of brain bleed and right pelvis fracture. We waited till just a bit ago for Neurosurgeon and Orthopedic surgeons direction. They decided no surgery for now. They did bring him out of sedation for a few minutes to ask questions and he was able to answer everything correctly. He is admitted in the trauma ICU in Baltimore now. We are praising God for keeping Adam safe and for the helmet doing its job. Thank you Jesus for his life!!!
We are in shock around here with all that is going on, but not surprised. We know that the enemy is always prowling and he comes to steal, kill and destroy. His mom and I were able to go back and forth on messenger praying together. I have found this verse to be so true. From Romans 5:20 When darkness abounds, God's remarkable gracious gift of Grace(unmerited favor) abounds all the more. Look for it, Just like Mr. Rodgers told us. Look for the helpers, those being a blessing. Look for the good.
We are going to Praise God in the storm, running off to Church to worship and be with my people. <3 I am still singing "I shall not be moved" from yesterday!!!!
Prayer focus: Adam and Riley, more cycles of responsiveness and kidney/brain healing for Steve! Love you all! Happy Pentacost Sunday!!!

I know how our lives go though cycles of great highs and lows, but thankfully we know the one who walks with us though the most difficult of days.
